Truthbombs about Transformation with Johnnie Lloyd Pt. 1

Episode Summary

Isn't it bizarre that a caterpillar's body starts one way and ends up another? Never to be the same. What happens in that cocoon? One thing is certain, it is an inside-out process and only the caterpillar knows what is really happening. The same is true for our lives. But there are clues and universal truths that can guide us as we transform.

Episode Notes

Isn't it bizarre that a caterpillar's body starts one way and ends up another? Never to be the same. What happens in that cocoon? One thing is certain, it is an inside-out process and only the caterpillar knows what is really happening. The same is true for our lives. But there are clues and universal truths that can guide us as we transform.

Today’s gal pal is Johnnie Lloyd. Johnnie shares her lessons learned and truth bombs from her experiences. Her favorite topic is transformation. You see, at one time she was homeless but then, as she likes to say, she was raised up to have a successful career where she held senior-level executive positions in companies, non-profit organizations, as well as with the federal government.

Today, she’s the author of Legacy Moments: Transformation that Goes Beyond Change and President and Chief Visionary Officer of JB Lloyd and Associates and Raise Up Nation (R.U.N.), a non-profit organization that empowers the transformation of communities, especially in the areas of leadership, success, relationships, and money.

In this episode we talk about:

Here’s a glance:

[4:27] Johnnie was surprised how the Nail Color Persona quiz nailed her as a Red Glitter Gal in just three questions.

[10:36] In her book, Legacy Moments: Transformation that Goes Beyond Change, Johnnie describes the will and level of intensity embraced by those ready for success.

[14:41] Johnnie drops a truth bomb about the nature of true transformation.

[16:37] Johnnie knew that being homeless with an infant daughter was not her truth, so she transformed from caterpillar to butterfly.

[22:21] Mary shares a transformational moment in her life that mirrors Johnnie’s mantra which is ‘We make the future we want for ourselves because we have no control over someone else’s actions’.

[26:55] Johnnie explains how we can Live Like Our Nail Color.

[27:53] PLUS…after our convo I added a brand-new segment called Flip the Chip! Each episode I reflect on a specific piece of what my gal pal said that can help you flip a challenge into something positive.

It’s a simple way for you to get a few practical take-aways from our fun, inspiring conversation. I can’t wait for you to hear it!
